Coach Tony joined City SC in 2020 following successful coaching assignments with LA Galaxy SD, Carlsbad United FC, Carlsbad Wave FC and AYSO. Coach Tony is a continuous student of the game as it has evolved significantly over the last several decades.  His practices are always well planned out and he uses modern coaching techniques to get the most out of his players, no matter their playing level.  Coach Tony applies his engineering background to the tactical side of the game realizing that soccer is very dynamic and there is more than one way for players to creatively solve problems.  After growing up playing and training under UK coaches from the age of 7 through most of his career, he believes that a hard work ethic and a disciplined approach are the keys to success.  Coach Tony believes that players must “Master the Fundamentals” and he sets very high standards for himself and his players.  He is very passionate about the game of soccer and tries to inspire that lifelong passion in his players.  Coach Tony enjoys using the soccer environment to pass along life lessons that will not only make better players but also better people in the future.
