After being informed by former club and Mexican youth national player, Cindy Garcia, LA Galaxy San Diego players and sisters Ellesa and Katelyn Guebely went to tryout for the Mexican-American team on March 5, 2016 in Los Angeles. The team is comprised of American born players with Mexican born parents and was put together to compete in the 2016 MexGames, March 22-27, in Bell Gardens (LA).
Out of 70 talented players, both sisters made the team of 16. Unfortunately Ellesa could not make the tournament due to a school exam but Katelyn helped the Mexican-American team to win the championship.
Well done ladies! Big achievement!
