Carl Higham & Players at Cal South Awards
LA Galaxy San Diego’s Director of Girls and 2016 National Championship winning Coach, Carl Higham, was one of a very select group of coaches awarded the prestigious Cal South Excellence in Coaching Award at the 2017 Cal South Awards Ceremony. Coach Carl was followed up on to the stage by his National Championship winning players as they were officially awarded their Championship plaques.
LAGSD President Skye O’Grady and Board Member Ryan Gold were also recognized and receivedย Cal South Honoree Awards for their dedication and hard work as volunteers for LA Galaxy San Diego.
“It is a great honor to be recognized by Cal South and receive this award,” commented a very proud Coach Carl Higham. “None of this would have been possible without a great bunch of girls who worked their socks off to claim the National Championships.”

Higham continued, “Having been at the National Championships with these girls in the two prior years and not winning a game madeย this year’s triumph that much more special. It was great to see the girls finally receive their Championship plaques up on the stage. A big shout out to Skye and Ryan as well for being deservedly honored.”
