In association with AM Sports, LA Galaxy San Diego 2002 Elite players Joe Totoris and Zachary Knudsen have been chosen to participate in Austin MacPhee’s ‘Pro Youth Experience’. The boys left for Scotland this weekend for a two week residential academy training program.
The AM Sports Tours Pro Youth Experience offers talented youth soccer players the opportunity to live the life of a professional player during an intensive two week home stay camp. This intensive program will give the players an insight into the technical, tactical and psychological demands of a professional soccer player. The players will also be educated on the importance of recovery training including nutrition and hydration.
LAGSD Boys Director, Glenn Malone, commented, “Once again, I am thrilled at the exciting opportunity our wonderful partnership with AM sports has brought two more of our players. This will be the third year that we have sent players over to Scotland for this experience and, if the last two years are anything to go by, both Joe and Zach are going to have trip they will never forget! Each year we select two players that have the quality and club loyalty that we feel deserves to be rewarded, and that we know they will do us proud. Unfortunately, one of the boys selected for this year’s experience, Bryce Hayashida, picked up an injury and is unable to travel but we know the opportunity will come again for Bryce, and Zach who has stepped in as a replacement will do us equally proud. We look forward to following the trip from afar and wish both boys the best of luck!”
