Former City SC player Axel Kei made his MLS debut for Real Salt Lake on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the tender age of 15 years and 289 days old.
This remarkable achievement makes Axel the 4th youngest player in MLS history, just behind Alphonso Davies, Julian Hall and Freddy Adu.
Axel graduated through the City SC MLS NEXT program, whose partnership with Real Salt Lake allowed for the exciting prospect to move up to Real Salt Lake’s Academy program, where he has worked hard and excelled to become a part of the first team set up.
