149 lives touched in two days!
Service to the community is one of our most important values at LAGSD and as a club we are proud to have rallied together over the years to raise significant funds for community causes. Last summer, we took on a new giving back challenge, partnering with the San Diego Blood Bank to host our first ever blood drive and were excited to continue the tradition this year, hosting the second annual Coastal Classic Blood drive on August 17 & 24 at Poinsettia Park.
Over two days, 42 people donated blood, the majority being LAGSD members, and 22 of those being first time blood donors. These donations have already touched the lives of 149 people!
We are excited to keep the blood drive tradition going, and being the competitive people that we are, can’t wait to beat our numbers next year!
