Gwynn has lived in North County San Diego since the summer of 2000, after moving from the UK to become a Regional Director with Challenger Sports. He coached initially for Carlsbad Lightning and later became Carlsbad Wave’s longest serving coach and one of the most well-respected coaches in North County. Having overseen the development of mainly older boys teams, he has done a fantastic job of improving the level of performance within any club he’s been a part of. Gwynn’s coaching resume is extensive, and covers players of all ages and abilities. He is originally from Wales, and has been coaching on the club scene in San Diego since 2001.
