City SC 2005 Girls have had an absolutely remarkable 2021/22 season.
Not only have the team went undefeated but have won all 20 games that they played during regular season. Even more remarkable, the team scored a massive 108 goals and only conceded 8.
After winning their 2005 Southwest DPL league, the girls then set out for Texas and the DPL National Championships. After breezing through the group stages with 3 victories, scoring 14 and only conceding 1, the girls then headed to the semis. A comfortable 3-1 win in the semi final was followed by an emphatic 4-0 win in the final.
“I couldn’t be more proud of this team,” said Coach Craig Bedford. “The work rate and commitment all season long was incredible. Every player bought into the game model and achieved their individual goals. It’s going to be a great final year of club soccer for this group as they look to regain the National title.”
All in all, an incredible season for the team. Well done Coach Craig and girls!
