About MLS NEXT Flex:
The top players and teams in MLS NEXT will showcase their talents at MLS NEXT Flex in Boyds, MD, from May 9-13, as they look to clinch a berth in the 2025 MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs. Held at the Maryland SoccerPlex, the event will feature 232 teams across the U15, U16, U17, and U19 age groups. Each team qualified based on its points-per-game ranking in the 2024-25 MLS NEXT regular season division standings. The qualifying teams in each age group were drawn into groups of four – U15 and U17 (16 groups) and U16 and U19 (13 groups) – and the winners of each group will automatically qualify for the 2025 MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs.

Wave FC for Mental Health, in partnership with Katie’s Save, is a free community event that brings together mental health experts, athletes, and others to share stories, resources, and tools that can help promote and protect the mental health of our middle school, high school, and college-age students.

Join them on May 9 for a FREE panel featuring San Diego Wave FC players Kailen Sheridan and Kennedy Wesley, alongside Harry Miller, a former Ohio State football player, Dr. Carrie Hastings, a licensed clinical and sport psychologist for the LA Rams, and moderator Ari Chambers as they discuss the vital role mental health plays on and off the pitch.

The 2011/12 boys are back in town! Check out Coach Gwynn's 2025 UK Tour Recap in his own words -- and some great pics as well!

Day 1 - ✈️ SD to London Heathrow

Day 2 - Arrival and boarded our luxury coach and went straight to Spurs Stadium, in N. London for a tour. Checked in at The Tower Hotel (overlooking The Tower Bridge)!

Day 3 - Fitness run and workout w/ coaches Steve & Danny after breakfast. Later that morning, guided hop on/hop off tour of London at all the main attractions. Finished at Camden Market where parents and boys were able to shop around and seek refreshments!

Day 4 - Early start, off to Slough Town West London to play 2 games v Slough Town Youth U14s & U13s - won 1; lost 1! Left for Tottenham Stadium again for the EPL game - Spurs v Southampton.

Day 5 - After a trip on the London Eye we hit the Road to Cardiff, the capital of Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿! After check-in and dinner, parents and staff visited Gareth Bale's local bar (called 11's) for a refreshing lemonade!

Day 6 - Morning training session at Cardiff Met University delivered by an old friend of mine and his son! Afternoon free in Cardiff City Center. Evening (6pm KO) Game v CMU Academy teams. Unfortunately lost both games but the boys put up a great fight.

Day 7 - Travel day to N. Wales. Called in at Wrexham A.F.C. for refreshments and a photo stop - most had watched the documentary "Welcome to Wrexham" so they loved it!! Evening free in Chester after dinner.

Day 8 - Training session locally with a good friend of mine and a coach with Wrexham Youth Academy. Afternoon, travelled to Manchester for a Stadium Tour of Manchester Utd FC. Onto Warrington, played 2 games v Eagles Sports at their ground - finished on a high note and won both games! Socialised with the opposition for the remainder of the evening which everyone loved!

Day 9 - Sightseeing. Visited Conwy and a self-guided Tour of the Castle. Beautiful day for sitting outside the 'Liverpool Arms' ... (cont..)

Last week our own Brinley Walsh (09) and Coach Jeff Hughes headed out to the IMG Academy in Florida to take part in the first-ever Generation adidas Cup featuring some of the top players (and coaches) in the nation. And guess what, they brought home the TROPHY! Yes GA Red! ❤️ Way to represent, City! 💥🙌🏆
