In December 2018, on behalf of Cal South, LA Galaxy San Diego hosted the C License coaching education course at Aviara Community Park. Our very own Coach Manny took the 9 day course and was joined by many other coaches from Southern California and beyond. LAGSD will host a further 9 day C License course in February, with a 5 day follow up in April. In total, 76 coaches are partaking in the course and hopefully 76 come away with their C License coaching award.
Cal South Assistant Director of Coaching Education and Assistant Director Of Coaching Education, Sean Roche, commented, “I would like to thank LA Galaxy San Diego for providing the U.S. Soccer coaching education instruction staff with a wonderful field environment in Carlsbad. The environment and excellent LAGSD players provided us with as close to a perfect teaching environment as we have had, outside of Kansas City.”
Roche continued, “Everyone at LA Galaxy San Diego should be very proud of the participating players as they portrayed a very high and consistent level of technical ability and tactical insights for players of their age. We also thank them for their consistent level of intensity for each session and their joy for the game. It is very rewarding to work with such a high level, well organized club.
