For the last nine years, generation adidas international has partnered with premier adidas clubs to develop U.S. youth soccer at the international level through its select programs. Talented players are invited to train at the Real Madrid Foundation, A.F.C. Ajax, and just this year, F.F.C. Frankfurt, three of the world’s most powerful soccer clubs. This was the first year the generation adidas program allowed an option for girls to travel and play in Europe and nominated players had to submit soccer resumes and were selected by the program selection committee. LAGSD nominee, G99 Elite player Kayleigh Webb, was chosen to participate in the program at one of the most respected European women’s soccer clubs, F.F.C. Frankfurt.

  • 7 training sessions at the F.F.C. Frankfurt complex
  • 2 games against F.F.C Frankfurt teams
  • Individual assessment in order to improve and perfect skills
  • Comprehensive methods for complete technical and tactical development

The girls won their first game a staggering 11-0 and although it wasn’t the best competition, they learned how to play together and compete to win as a group. The second game was against a talented semi pro team, and it was a very intense game which the girls ended up edging 3-2.

LAGSD player Kayleigh Webb commented, “Big thanks to generation adidas and LA Galaxy San Diego for granting me this opportunity. I’ve met some amazing people that I will have lasting friendships with, all while getting to experience high level soccer in Europe. It was a trip I will never forget”.
