Earlier this year City SC partnered with FIFA Licensed Agency PSC Soccer to bring professional soccer pathways to Carlsbad. PSC Soccer have placed over 650 players professionally in the last 15 years from their pro tryouts and will be hosting one of these tryouts in Carlsbad this December 20-21-22.
PSC’s main focus is to find players capable of going into professional first teams and have placed players as high as the MLS & EPL and seen great success this year. In the past week 2024 tryout attendee James Bolger and 2020 tryout attendee Zishim Bawa have enjoyed the experience of winning the Irish FA Cup with Drogheda United, playing at Ireland’s National Aviva Stadium in front of 40,000 fans. James Bolger attended his first pro tryout with PSC 9 months ago in February 2024 with no previous pro experience and ends the year an Irish Cup winner! Zishim Bawa attended his first pro tryout three years ago as an 18-yr-old and as a result of his one tryout he is now in his fourth year as a professional and also an Irish cup winner!
PSC are also capable of helping younger players achieve their dreams as former City SC player Chase Gozdieski has found out after signing 3 Academy contracts in the last 18 months through PSC. He is currently signed to a USL Academy contract with League One Northern Colorado Hailstorm after previously signing with Orange County Soccer Club of the USL Championship and CV Fuego of USL League One.
Thanks to the newly formed partnership with PSC Soccer City SC players can enjoy a $150 discount to attend the pro tryout and showcase to professional head coaches, clubs and scouts from USA & Europe. The tryout is open to ages 15 to 25 and players will receive the following benefits:
- 3 days play in front of invited professional coaches from Europe & USA and PSC Agency Staff.
- Individual evaluation from the attending coaches and agency staff.
- Placement with professional club, if you prove capable of playing at that level.
- All negotiations and administrational dealings to do with any contract or trial offer that may occur, if you prove capable of playing at that level
- Recommendation and placement to other professional clubs not in attendance via PSC Agency Staff, if you prove capable of playing at that level.
