City SC Carlsbad Directors of Recreation, Gregg & Adam
The City SC Carlsbad Recreational Program is overseen by the Director of Recreation, Gregg Cacioppo, and the Assistant Director of Recreation, Adam Martin.
If you are looking for a place to play then look no further. City SC Carlsbad has the experience, knowledge and resources to fulfill every soccer players’ needs.
City SC Carlsbad runs three recreational seasons in the calendar year. First of which is the 6 week Winter League, followed shortly after by our 6 week Spring League, finally followed by our widely popular Fall Recreation League which runs from September – November. Fall registration ends in June and this league fills up quickly so be sure to sign up right away.

2024 Fall Season
Registration closed on July 7th and we are currently working on forming our teams. Anyone who has not signed up for the fall at this time can fill out our waitlist form, accessed by CLICKING HERE.
We will reach out to you directly if a spot is available for your child. Please note: we do not offer buddy or team requests for players coming off of the waitlist.

We take great pride in providing our community with the best soccer experience and look to provide our participants with a well organized program. We are excited to welcome you to what will surely be an amazing Fall 2024 Soccer Season!
Our recreation program is for everyone! We have teams from ages 3-18 and all levels are welcome!

For your convenience, we have two location-based registration options:
- NORTH CARLSBAD will play and practice on fields North of Palomar Airport Road including but not limited to: Zone 5, Magnolia, Chase, Hope, Calavera Hills, Jefferson, Valley, Buena Vista
- SOUTH CARLSBAD will play and practice on fields South of Palomar Airport Road including but not limited to: Zone 5 La Costa Heights, La Costa Meadows, Alga Norte, Aviara Park, Poinsettia Park, Stagecoach Park, El Camino Creek, Mission Estancia

- March 16–May 31: U5 & U7 = $230 | U8-U19 = $275

***Our U16 and U19 Teams are placed in the SoCal Super Rec league. Game scheduling is done by SoCal and games can be played on either Saturday or Sundays during the season.
Our Fall Recreational Registration includes:
- Home and away City SC Carlsbad uniforms
- Personalized trophy (U12 and below ONLY)
- Picture package
- Certified USSF referees for age groups U8 and up
- Field set up and take down
- Cal South trained and licensed volunteer coaches

- Registration will close on July 7, 2024. A $20 late fee will be assessed on all registrations after July 7, 2024, and players will be placed onto the waitlist
- The season will go from August 12 through to November 10, 2024
- We will do our best to honor one buddy request but it MUST be reciprocated and you MUST be in the same division, if received prior to the close of registration on July 7, 2024 – requests must be made at the time of registration and must be entered into the appropriate field during the registration process (we will NOT accept requests via email)

Play Up An Age Group Request Form: if you want your child to be considered to play up an age group, please fill out our request form by CLICKING HERE. Not all requests are guaranteed.

Refunds are only given for the following reasons after registration closes:
- Injuries – The injury must occur before the first game of the season and prevent the player from participating for the majority of the season. Parents must provide a medical note from doctors as proof
- No placement – If we cannot place your child due to a lack of coaches then we will provide a full refund

2024 Winter League
Winter League 2025 Registration Will Open on October 18th!
City SC Carlsbad Recreation offers two very unique Winter Soccer Programs for children with the birth years 2021-2012. Each program runs 6 weeks and only meets on Saturdays. Please see below for more information on each program.
2021-2018 4v4 Winter League Jamboree
Our Winter Jamboree is geared for children aged 3-7 years old. The goal for this program is all about development and learning the skills needed to play in a full season of soccer. This is a great environment as an introduction to the sport and/or for the experienced player looking to get some great coaching from our professional coaching staff. Each week there will be a new focus and each child will get hundreds of touches on the ball in just an hour session. Our professional staff will teach our future stars some new skills and proper soccer technique with creative and fun games and drills. Every session will end in a small sided game where parents can cheer on their favorite little soccer stars!
AGES: Boys & Girls aged 3-7 (birth years 2021-2018)
DATES: Saturdays, Feb 8-Mar 22, 2025 (Excludes presidents day weekend)
TIMES (subject to change):
- Boys & Girls 2021/2020: 8:30-9:30am
- Boys 2019/2018: 9:45-10:45am
- Girls 2019/2018: 11am-12pm

2017-2012 7v7 Winter League Pick Up
Our Winter 7v7 League is a great way for our recreation players to stay in soccer shape while still having time for other Winter/Spring Activities. All sessions are run on Saturdays only with a 30 min practice before each game. Teams will be run by a volunteer coach and play other teams in the league in a 7v7 format so each player gets maximum touches on the ball during each game.
AGES: Boys & Girls 8-13 (birth years 2017-2012)
DATES: Saturdays, Feb 1-Mar 15, 2024 (Excludes presidents day weekend)
TIMES:
- Girls U10 (2017/2016) 8:30AM-10:00AM
- Boys U10 (2017/2016) 10:00AM-11:30AM
- Girls U12 (2015/2014) 11:30AM-1:00PM
- Boys U12 (2015/2014) 1:00PM-2:30PM
- Boys & Girls (2013/2012) 2:30PM-4:00PM – please note this could be co-ed depending on sign ups
