Social Media Guidelines

At City SC Carlsbad, our social media platforms showcase the excellence, growth, and community spirit that defines our club. To help us share the best moments from our players and families, please follow these guidelines when submitting content.

City SC Carlsbad has three official social media accounts:

Absolutely no use of the City SC name and/or branding is allowed on TikTok.

TEAM SOCIAL MEDIA
Although we recognize the perceived value of team social media pages, teams are strongly advised against setting up any social media presence, especially when we take pride on sharing team news/successes on our official club social media pages. Should a team already have an existing account, it is essential that these pages do not present themselves as an official representation of City SC, in any way. Teams are prohibited from using any of the following in their social media accounts:

  • City SC club logo or branding – NOT ALLOWED
  • ‘citysc’ or ‘city_sc’ or ‘city’ in their handle – NOT ALLOWED
  • ‘City SC’ in their page title or in BIO – NOT ALLOWED

PLAYERS / COACHES SOCIAL MEDIA
Players / Coaches are prohibited from using any of the following in their social media accounts:

  • City SC club logo or branding – NOT ALLOWED
  • ‘citysc’ or ‘city_sc’ or ‘city’ in their handle – NOT ALLOWED

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT SUBMISSION
The quickest and easiest way to get media promoted via our social media channels is to post it to your Instagram “story” and tag: @ourcitysc

We will then share your media on the official City SC story feed. Images/Videos of team bonding events, pre/postgame team pics, “buddy”/teammate poses, goal/game highlights, skills, and tricks should be posted to Instagram in story format, as described above.

Images/Videos of more notable moments such as community engagement, tournament championships, etc, along with a blurb or description, should be sent to: social@ourcitysc.com

Please send tournament accomplishments within 24hrs of completion of the tournament. Due to the large amount of achievement posts, Championship posts are preferred, but “Finalists” can receive promotion if it’s a notable accomplishment for that particular team.
