Coach Craig was born and raised in South Wales, UK. After graduating from University in Swansea, where he played collegiately as a striker, he made his way to the United States to pursue his love for soccer in the coaching environment. Now with over 15 years coaching experience, he continues to pass on his knowledge and passion for the game to the next generation.
“Working primarily with high school aged female athletes, a key area of my focus is to develop college ready players that are confident in solving problems when they present themselves on the field. With focus on highly organized defensive structure and attacking creativity, I aim to allow the players to express themselves without the fear of failure. It is important that we are creating autonomous, independent thinkers who aren’t afraid to make mistakes in order to solve problems. Soccer is a very fluid sport; therefore, it is critical that we are creating challenging environments within our sessions and empowering our players to be comfortable making decisions in the moment. By taking a holistic approach to coaching, I aim to give my players the tools to develop and pursue their goals while creating a safe, challenging, and enjoyable environment for them to learn. The life lessons learned through soccer go far beyond the game itself. I aim to promote strong characteristics and values that the players will take with them into their adult life.”
