This weekend our BU13 through BU17 Elite teams, along with the BU17 Premier team, headed to Las Vegas to take part in the very prestigious WCDA College Showcase. The weekend proved to be both fun on and off the field with the highlight being our BU13 and BU15 Elite teams winning their respective age groups. Even more impressive, both teams won all 5 games that they played! Well done all!
BU13 Elite Report
The BU13 Elite team won the Las Vegas WCDA tournament today. After winning all four bracket games on Friday and Saturday in temperatures in the 30’s, the boys played out a thrilling final against San Diego SC on Sunday. SDSC struck first on breakaway, before Alec Kenison equalized before half time. CUFC survived a couple of scares early in the second half, before Tobias Williams stepped up to hammer home a fantastic solo hat-trick in the last 10 minutes and see the boys run out 4-1 winners and cap a memorable “player of the tournament” weekend for Tobias.
