Coach Louis’ 2012 Pre-Academy Girls | State Cup Champions 2024
Congratulations to our City SC Youngers girls and boys teams who have recently completed their seasons playing in the season’s big final tournament, State Cup. Our teams showed very well with many teams making it to the final stages of their respective competitions. With four of our teams making the finals, it was a fantastic achievement and made even more special by Coach Louis’ 2012 Pre-Academy Girls, who were crowned 2024 State Cup Champions.
City SC Boys Foundation Phase Director, Dan Jones, commented, “Congratulations to all our teams on their outstanding performance in this year’s State Cup. We’re immensely proud of every player who showcased their talent while representing City SC. A heartfelt appreciation goes out to our dedicated and passionate coaches, whose hard work and commitment have been instrumental in the success of our teams throughout the year.”
“What a way to finish out the season and our time together,” said City SC Girls Foundation Phase Director and 2012 Pre-Academy Girls Head Coach, Louis Hunt. Commenting on his team’s success, Louis continued, “To win the SoCal State Cup in the top bracket is a massive deal! From last-minute winners and penalty shootout wins throughout the earlier stages of state cup, the togetherness of this team ultimately pulled them through. Every single one of these girls has given everything in training every week and I’m glad they could see their hard work come to fruition.”
It should also be mentioned that Coach Louis’ 2012 girls went on to play their NorCal counterparts and were victorious, claiming the California Cup as well as the SoCal State Cup. What a terrific achievement!
